Respite Care and Home Assistance

There are a number of respite care options for families in need of extra support.

Resources shows that 50% of patients older than 65 years of age have three or more medical conditions. Prioritizing conditions is an important part of balancing care of the elderly. A focus should be on preservation of independence and function.

Support is available from:

  • Home Health Aides
  • Medical Adult Day Programs
  • Social Adult Day Care
  • Respite Care
  • Companionship Support (they do not provide nursing care)
  • Assisted Living Facilities
